This scenic trail begins and ends at Park Headquarters. At the Boy
Scout trail, you will veer right and follow the meadow trail into
heavily forested areas. This trail will eventually take you to the
scenic Shoreline Trail and the Bernard Peak viewpoint. From there
you will follow the Shoreline Trail until you reach the Beaver Bay
swimming area and the halfway point. The return will be up the
Power Line Trail to the Squirrel Cache Shelter. From there you
will take the South and North Lynx ski trails back to Park
Headquarters. There are short uphill and downhill sections, and varying
natural terrain.
It is not suitable for wheelchairs or strollers.
Walking sticks would be helpful.
Water and restrooms are available at Park Headquarters and Beaver Bay Swimming Area (when open). It is advisable to carry water during hot weather.
Pets are allowed on Park trails but must be kept leashed at all times. If they poop, you must scoop!

Farragut State Park is located midway between Coeur d'Alene and Sandpoint on US-95. From I-90 take the US-95 exit at Coeur d'Alene towards Canada/Sandpoint. Travel north for 20 miles to Athol and turn right onto Highway 54 at the traffic signal (there will be a sign indicating Farragut State Park). The Park Headquarters is located 4 miles east.
